City Vézac Dordogne in France is a place where one of the most magical landscapes of the world famous gardens Marqueyssac is located. These stunning sculptural landscapes surround the castle of the 17th century, which dominates the picturesque valley of the Dordogne. These circular forms of the garden are neatly trimmed by employees for over 300 years.

Marqueyssac Castle is constructed in the best traditions of the Middle Ages and is located on an inaccessible rocky plateau overlooking the densely populated valley at an altitude of nearly 200 meters. Its main attraction is a multi-faceted garden organically filled with winding walkways, gazebo, stone huts of dry masonry, as well as places for rest and contemplation.

Back in the late seventeenth century in this garden were planted tens of thousands of shrubs, boxwood topiary which have made strict geometry and clearly marked boundaries for numerous tracks and green rooms. Thanks to the diligent work of skillful gardeners already in the eighteenth century the castle Marqueyssac gained recognized status of residence for the elite entertainment. The stone path leading through the maze is decorated with green balloons and the waves are silent witnesses to the grand scale of the labor of so many sculptors and fanciful shapes of clipped boxwood.

Marqueyssac Gardens were restored to its original form in 1996, is now open to people for walks. Château de Marqueyssac passes through a large area with a 5 km walking paths, pavilion Belvedere over the river bottom, the chapel and the famous hanging gardens. Despite the fact that Vézac usually not the path of most travelers, and it is almost halfway between Bourdeaux and Rhone, which are wine regions, that is just the way for the French wine lovers.
